

Milton E. “Bud” Litzsinger on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Bud was born Nov. 23, 1929 at the family home on Litzsinger Road, the son of John Milton and Irene (Theiss) Litzsinger. Dear husband of 61 years of Sandra (May) Litzsinger. Beloved father of Barry (Jeanne) Litzsinger and Robyn (Steve) Sobo. Dear grandfather of Stephanie and Barrett Litzsinger and Samantha and Meredith Sobo. Dear brother of John Litzsinger and the late Kathryn Ziegler, Betty Dell and Eileen Dell. Dear companion of Gretchen, Bud’s beloved poodle.
Owner and manager for over 60 years of Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum Company in South St. Louis County. Past President of the Cemetery Management Association of Greater St. Louis, Associated Cemeteries of Missouri, and the Central States Cemetery Association. Past member of the Advisory Council of Missouri Office of Endowed Care Cemeteries.
Member and past Council President of St. Lucas United Church of Christ (a great church and a great denomination).
Member of Fenton Masonic Lodge since 1962, 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite since 1966 and Moolah Shrine since 1967.
Past member and Chairman of the St. Louis County Planning and Zoning Commission. Former member and President of the Lemay Optimist Club. Former Board member of the South County YMCA. Former member of Midwest BankCentre’s Legal Board (formerly Lemay Bank) for 36 years. Member of the Lemay and South County Chambers of Commerce and recipient of the Edgar P. Crecelius Award.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Private entombment at Mount Hope Mausoleum.
Visitation at Hoffmeister South County Chapel on Wed. June 22 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
