Paul was born and raised in Terre Haute, IN on February 9th,1941 (however, if you ever asked him when his birthday was, he would tell you it’s “next Tuesday”).
A lifelong jokester, outdoorsman, and car enthusiast, Paul enjoyed life and making those around him smile. If it were deer season, you were sure to find him in the woods. Who am I kidding, Paul liked to explore, we could never find him! And while he was proud of his interest, there was nothing he was prouder of, outside of his family, than his wonderful career in the law enforcement.
Paul Roy began his legendary police career journey graduating from The City of
St. Louis Police Academy (1964-1965) then going on to the St Louis Police Department in the 5th district (1965-1972), 9th district patrol (1972), 9th district Detective Bureau (1975-1981) and 7th district (1981-1985).
He was awarded Police Officer of the Year 1975 and 1985. He retired in 1985. Paul was then appointed as Chief of Police in the city of St. George (1985-2004).

the first elected president.
