Peter T. Hutnyk

He was born January 6, 1944, in Poland to Sylvester and Alhaphia Hutnyk (nee Kozub). Peter is the beloved husband of the late Lillian Marie Hutnyk; loving father of Pete (Linda) Hutnyk, Tracy (Mike) Brumfield and the late Denise (Steve) Neels; Loving grandfather of Steve Neels Jr., Amanda (Christopher) Trevisano, Sam Hutnyk, Anna Hutnyk, Danny Hutnyk, Allison Brumfield, and Amelia Brumfield; cherished great grandfather to Adriana Trevisano; Dear brother-in-law to Sally Hutnyk; beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Orist Hutnyk and Michael Hutnyk.

Peter enjoyed fishing, watching football, being around his family and going to church. He always brought a smile to everyone face with his carefree zest for life.

A visitation for Peter will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.

Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
