Richard "Dick" T. Cummings Sr.

1937-2024

Dick Cummings passed away on Sunday, March 17th, at the age of 86. Dick was born to Herb and Juanita Cummings on November 24th, 1937 in South St. Louis. He attended St. Louis U High and then went to Regis College in Denver, where he met the love of his life, Diana Lee.

Dick & Diana spent the first couple of years of married life in Newfoundland, where Dick served in the US Navy. Upon completing his duties, Dick and Diana moved back to St. Louis and started a family while Dick pursued his actuarial career, becoming a fellow in the Society of Actuaries.

Dick & Diana became snowbirds in their retirement years, spending the colder months in Arizona enjoying golf, bridge, and happy hours with beautiful sunsets.

Dick will be remembered fondly for his warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on those whose lives he touched.

Dick was preceded in death by his cherished brothers, Tom and Terry. Dick is survived by his loving wife Diana, his devoted children Kristen (Michael) Doyle, Lisa Trout, and Richard Cummings Jr., along with his

adoring grandchildren Lauren (Kevin), Courtney, Morgan, Mikey, Ryan, Bailey, and Tyler and his two sisters, Linda and Barbara (Kerry).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Center at 800 N. Tucker Blvd.

A Gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63131.
