Richard Everett Vaughn

He is the beloved husband to June Vaughn (nee Prives), Dearest Father and Father-in-law to Steve (Mandi) Vaughn, Brandon Vaughn and Shawn Vaughn; cherished grandfather to Colton Vaughn, Ashley Vaughn, Carmen Vaughn, Gavin Vaughn, Adam (Katelyn) Maxwell and Alyssa (Brandon) Stokely; Dear brother to Michael (Toni) Vaughn; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Richard retired as a machinist from Anheuser-Busch. An airplane enthusiast, he held a pilot’s license for a brief period and dedicated time to constructing custom-made airplane models. In addition to model planes, he also crafted small-scale steam engines. Richard was an avid gardener, and maintaining the perfection of his lawn was a constant aspiration.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Richard’s honor be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Wounded Warrior Project.

A visitation will be held at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, situated at 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, on January 22, 2026, from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am.

Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, with full military honors.
