Roy Ema was an interesting guy for a dad. He encouraged my free will spirit maybe a little too much. But when he made good choices he would share with me how happy it made him. When I made good choices, he learned to tell me how proud he was. Life has taught us both hard lessons. I am grateful for the guidance you gave me in your last years but most of all I am grateful you sent me your missionaries. Believing in our savior, Jesus Christ, has been my saving grace. I love you for loving me enough to share that.

It's been 4 weeks today since you crossed the veil and I miss you more and more.  You always had wise words for me to live by and that is what I am trying to do....The next right thing!  Love and miss you forever!

I miss your being here in this life!  I'm glad that you are at peace now but I still can't help missing you!

Roy u were a wonderful person,& always there when need u will truley be missed by your family and friends, i'am so glad i got to meet u years ago your friend.

Roy will be missed very much by my family and myself-he was such a great friend and was extremely important to my sobriety and growth.  We are so lucky to have had him in our lives and I will always remember him as a special and irreplaceable friend.

I will miss Roy so very much.  He was one of the most gererous people I've ever met.  If it weren't for him I would have had no living room furniture at all when I moved into my own apartment in 2009.  I will never forget his love and support.  I love you Roy!!  I hope his family can find some peace in this trying time.

Melinda and family , my heart goes out to you at this time. And my heart aches where Roy used to be. I don't have to tell you what a good man he was . A person couldn't ask for a dearer friend . He had compassion and empathy , strength of character , and lived his life with a quiet dignity . Yet he could have fun with the best of us !! I'll never forget Roy Ema. He taught us life lessons without even trying.

My thought and prayer are with the family , Roy was the the type of persone that was always there for you ,I can't count the times we would hang out at mokabe's drinking coffee and having fun,anytime that i needed to talk to someone about what ever I knew he was always there ,, I am sorry I will not be able to make the service but I leave for LA Thursday night ,,William I don't know if you remember me but i met you at the Sherwood Picnic that day with Roy and I just want you to know if you need anything just give me a holla you on the alumni page and i believ we or FB friend and to the rest of the Family your in my prayers .God Bless

Roy was my very best friend i miss him so much and the love he had for me was like no other i loved him with all my heart.

Roy was such a nice guy.  He will be missed.  Sorry for your loss.  He is in a better place now.

Roy, Thank you for being such a kind generous man.  When I came to visit in St.Louis, you were to so kind as to give me rides to the meetings and to help me meet up with other friends.  You left a lasting impression on me and I will never forget you. Thank you for just being you.

Sorry of your loss but Roy is in a much better place. Some day you will all be together.

My condolences to the family. Roy will be missed greatly. He was always there for me. He listened to me, gave me suggestions and always had a shoulder available for me to cry on. He was the most selfless man I have ever know. I love you Roy!
