Sandy is survived by her husband Bernard (Joe) just shy of 32 years; step children Patricia Bailey; Tracey (Ted) Stanton; Thomas (Kellie Mack) Struckman, and Christina McDaniel. Grandchildren Jessica, Natalie, LeAnn, David, Sean, Tommy, Tatiana, Kristina, Michael, Elizabeth, Joseph, and great-grandchild Atticus. Siblings Kenneth (Tonya) Douglas; Sharon (George) Nanos; Daniel (Kat) Douglas; Wanda Douglas and her nieces & nephews; many wonderful friends; and her beloved cat “Runt-Runt”. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Clarissa Douglas.
Sandy grew up in Cahokia, Illinois where she worked at the KC Hall and met Joe. She earned her certificate and worked as a Dental Assistant in Saint Louis for over 20 years. She and Joe moved to Bonne Terre, MO in 1993 and enjoyed spending time with their family and friends playing BINGO & Dominoes and hosting BBQ’s. Sandy loved spending time with family and traveling to different places with Joe. Branson was their go to. Sandy will be greatly missed, but her everlasting memories left here with us will be cherished forever.
A memorial gathering for Sandra will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, Saint Louis, Missouri 63125, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM.
