Scott Hunker

Scott Lewis Hunker, of Richmond Heights, Missouri, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on May 7, 1951, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late David and Claire Hunker. He was also preceded in death by his father- and mother-in-law, James and June Hulsey.

Scott is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Denise Hunker (née Hulsey) of Richmond Heights, MO; his brother Christian (Maricel) Hunker of Killeen, TX; his brothers-in-law Reggie (Peggy) Hulsey of Leander, TX, and Chris Hulsey of Desloge, MO; his sister-in-law Diane (Bill) Wright of New Port Richey, FL; along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A proud graduate of Champaign Central High School, Scott went on to earn his degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He began his career working for the St. Louis CBS and Fox news stations, later continuing his professional journey at Enterprise Car Sales.

Scott enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including playing golf and collecting memorabilia. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved cheering for the St. Louis Blues.

Most importantly, Scott was a man of strong Christian faith, who cherished his family above all else.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Scott will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Kriegshauser Mortuary-West Chapel, 9450 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will occur following the service at 2:30 PM at Licklider Cemetery, 10378 State Hwy F, Cuba, MO 65453.
