Sydney Herbert Rodway

Sydney Herbert Rodway, 86, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born on October 20, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, to the late George W. Rodway and Irene Woehr Rodway. Sydney was a devoted Catholic, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was very proud of the time he served with the United States Navy as well as the 40 years he worked for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation and Boeing. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family. He particularly enjoyed the summers he spent with his family in Wisconsin, a tradition started by his father when he was a young boy.

Beloved husband of Lynn Ann Rodway (nee Muesenfechter); dear father of Sydney (Mia) Rodway III, Richard Rodway, Katherine (Joe) Rodway Vega, Philip (Courtney) Rodway, and Anna Rose (Seth) Rangel; dearest grandfather of Joseph, Graham, Franklin, Rafael, and Gianna; dear son of the late George W. and Irene Woehr Rodway; dear brother of the late Sara Rose Rodway; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

He will be remembered with love by his family and friends for his devout faith, integrity and his pride for his family.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 401 S Lindbergh Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63131, on April 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on April 29, 2026, at 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, US, on April 29, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
