Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, she joins her late husband Robert; son Kurt; and son-in-law, Stephen in eternal life. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Sylvian Graef (nee Schappert) and dearest sister of Berniece Meade and Charlotte Graef. She is survived by daughters, Katherine (Don) Hrdlicka; Carol (the late Stephen) Fieseler; Christine (fiance' Rand Lechner) Pauley; and daughter-in-law Gloria (the late Kurt) Austermann. She leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She will be missed by family and friends.
Sylvian led a charmed life making many friends in her travels and musical career. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, learning music by ear and playing difficult pieces flawlessly. She took pride in her home and was always impeccably dressed, including make-up and jewelry, for any event. She was the perfect and dedicated caregiver for her mother, sister and husband during their illnesses.
Special thanks to the wonderful and loving staff of Mary Queen and Mother Skilled Nursing Facility for taking good care of Sylvian during her residence.
