Victor was born on July 10, 1953, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Marion and Clara Jean (née Short) Paglisotti. Victor grew up in Willowick, Ohio, and attended St. Joseph High School. In 1971, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri to attend Webster College. It was through his connections at Webster College that Victor met the love his life, Debbie.
Victor was a stationary engineer and worked at Washington University in St. Louis, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the City of St. Louis Water Division. He was appointed by Mayor Francis Slay to serve on the Board of Stationary Engineers for the City of St. Louis, to which he was elected Chairman of the Board. Victor also served as the Chief Instructor for the stationary engineering school at International Union of Operating Engineers Local 2. He took pride in his work where he was known by many as “Vic,” although his favorite names were “Dad” and “Pap Pap.”
Victor loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He had a passion for gardening and grew beautiful flowers to bring into the house. Debbie never asked, but Victor always grew her favorites.
Victor was the beloved husband of Debbie Baumoel; father of Even (Adison Hicks) Paglisotti and Joseph (Allison) Paglisotti; grandfather of Eloise Paglisotti and Sophia Paglisotti; brother of Linda Paglisotti and Daryl (Mary) Paglisotti; and uncle to Martin Goodman, the late Brian Staber-Baumoel, David (Laura) Paglisotti, Krista (Luke) Cowgill, and Lauren Paglisotti.
A memorial service will be held on May 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Eliot Unitarian Universalist Chapel in Kirkwood, Missouri. Details to follow.
