Dearest Priscilla,
   It's hard to say goodbye to a loved one.  I remember Bill well as a fine husband and father and doctor.  He is with our beloved Lord now (and thinking of his dear wife).

Dear Mrs. Drake,
     We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Drake, and that is all part of grieving.  What came to my mind upon receiving the news was this thought:
Earth's loss--Heaven's gain.  Dr. Drake is getting to celebrate Jesus' birthday in Heaven.  What a time they will be having.

Dear Priscilla,
    My thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss of dear Bill.  His example was one we should all follow.  May he rest in God's love and peace.

Dear Priscilla,

     Dr. Drake was a true gentleman, loving husband and father, and a fabulous teacher.  He was such an interesting fellow--knew much about many things--I guess because he was interested in many people and many things.

      Tony certainly learned much about Pathology and life in general from Bill.  You and he were so kind to us in your friendship.  You made us feel like family, and that's always been appreciated. 
 
      We send you our love, and will keep you all in our prayers.

Dear Priscilla,

     We know that you have been blessed for all the wonderful years that you have had together, just as we have.  As hard as it is to be separated now, we also know that this is temporary.  One day we'll all be together again, and best of all with our Lord.
    Your husband was a wonderful man, and contributed so much to the field of medicine.  I'm sure he's been missed ever since retirement.  We give thanks for his contribution.  I'm sure this holiday season has not been easy.  You are surely in our prayers.

We will so miss Bill. He was a wonderful friend for many years. This world is poorer without him.

Dear Priscilla,    
     Peg and I are greatly saddened to hear of Bill's death.  How I enjoyed and benefitted from Bill's articulate conversations about religion, politics, medicine, and any and all other current events.  His comments and opinions always reflected a thoughtful analysis and your shared moral convictions.  He was always a kind, tolerant, patient and intelligent gentleman, who always strived to find the good in everybody, and find some trace of Christ in everyone.  His day to day demeanor reflected the loving support he received from you and his family.
    Bill is missed by none more than his family, but for the rest of us we also share heavily in this sadness, and take comfort in the Hope and Promise of the resurrection.  As always Priscilla, you, Bill, and your family are in our prayers.

    Please accept my deepest sympathy over the loss of Bill.  He was a treasured friend of mine, and a special blessing in my life.  Bill was a consummate gentleman, and I will miss him dearly.  My prayers are with you Mrs. Drake, and your family.

For Bill's relentless determination to hoist "We the People" on high ground.  I embrace, with much thanksgiving.

   All of us at the Algonquin were so very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Bill.  He was such a fine man--always so pleasant, friendly, and courteous.  We have missed you both these last few years.

Dear Mrs. Drake,
  I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss of Dr. Drake.   He was a man I always had respect for, both intellectually and spiritually.  I will be praying for him and for you.

Dear Priscilla,
   When I learned of Dr. Drake's death, a line from "Hamlet" comes to mind: "May flights of angels see thee to thy rest!"
   Dr. Drake was a daily inspiration to me, and many here loved and greatly respected him.  He, and you are so missed.  Please extend my deepest sympathy to your family.  We will never see his like again.  He was a fine, noble, generous gentleman.  I was so honored to know him.  May God bless you all.

I've never met a nicer, more Christian man in my life.  He will be missed

Dr. Drake will always be fondly remembered by the staff at Missouri Baptist Laboratory because he took the time each day to individually greet each employee he encountered and sincerely thanked them for coming to work that day. We will never forget him.

We had the privilege of being neighbors and friends of Dr. Drake and Priscilla here at the Algonquin Apartments and have missed them since they moved.  Please accept our deepest sympathy to all the family and especially to Priscilla.  You are in our prayers.

To Bill's family, I extend my condolences. I knew Bill for many years as a colleague and fellow pathologist and he worked for a time with us as an assistant medical examiner. I have never known a kinder more gentle person. I will miss his Christmas letters with his news of all of you whom he loved dearly. I will treaure my memories of him and am thankful to have known him.

What a wonderful man your Husband & Dad was! My family and I are so lucky to have known him, and his legacy lives on in all of you. He has set quite an example. Judy, we are here for you always.

Mrs. Drake, Judy, and family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Drake.  He was always so kind and gracious when I visited your home and apartment, and he was such an inspiration to me as a Christian. Dr. Drake certainly made a positive difference in the world because he lived here.  His compassion and love will be remembered by many for years to come.

I worked with Dr.Drake at Deaconess Hosptial.He was a kind and gentle man.He would always thank the employees for coming in to work that day. My condolences to his family.
