William Bill Edward Maupin

MAUPIN, William Edward “Bill” 72, of St. Louis, MO at peace in Christ on Friday, August 22, 2014. Loving husband of Cathy (nee Voisey); beloved father of Eric (Karri) Maupin and Gary (Karen) Maupin; dear step-father of Candy Terrell, Mary Diesel, Dawn (Jeff) Goodman, Pamela (Shawn) McCoy, and Teri Alcazar; dear grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 10; loving brother of Brenda Lohmar; uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He had many interests. In his earlier days he coached little league baseball. He also enjoyed bowling very much, and in his later years coached youth bowling. Bill especially enjoyed fishing and hunting and felt most at home and at peace at the lake or in the woods. Some of his best times were hanging out playing cards and having a laugh with friends and family. Bill will be missed by friends, but especially by his wife, children and grandchildren. He fought the good fight. Semper Fi.

SERVICES: Visitation 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., Lemay, MO 63125. Burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
