SCHMITT, William A. “Bill” 89, of Cedar Hill and formally of Perryville MO asleep in Jesus on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Arline Schmitt (nee Femrite); loving father of Jerry (Patty) Schmitt, Ron (Joan) Schmitt, Dan (Carol) Schmitt, Debbie Schmitt and the late Bill Schmitt; dear grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 16.
Bill was a long time member of the Carpenters Union here in St. Louis. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved playing golf. In his retirement he and Arline moved to Perryville, until about six years ago when he moved to Cedar Hill to be near family.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Hoffmeister South County, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. Lemay, MO. Funeral service 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in the chapel at Hoffmeister South County. Interment with military honors at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following the service.
