Ethel "To-ya" Frederick

ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Ms. Ethel “To-ya” Frederick, age 88, at 9:00 am on Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Martin De Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Ms. Frederick passed away peacefully on January 19, 2016 at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.

Better known as To-ya by her family and friends, Ether worked as a bartender at Robert’s Lounge for over fifty years. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Julia Bijeaux Frederick; and five brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Willis Champagne, Rene Champagne, Henry David, Marc David, Blake David, and Albert Decuir.
