

CATAHOULA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for William “Boy” Latiolais, Jr., age 62, at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 22, 2014 until time of services on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Dion Hall in Catahoula. A rosary will be prayed by family at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.
William, affectionately known as “Boy” was born on April 19, 1952 and raised in Catahoula. He lived a life of nothing but joy and happiness. Boy spent most of his time riding his bike, listening to music by his all-time favorite Elvis Presley, and coloring in his books. He enjoyed the company of his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He loved to be pampered and love was something he didn’t lack.
He is survived by his three sisters, Thelma Borel of Catahoula; Velma Landry and husband Howard of Lafayette and Laura Theriot and husband Larry of Parks; four brothers, Cleven Latiolais and wife Ellen of Catahoula; Clifford Latiolais and wife Angela of St. Martinville; Joseph Latiolais and wife Debbie of Parks and Garland Latiolais and wife Melinda of Catahoula; his nieces and nephews, Maggie Borel; Lydia Borel; Annette Murphy; Leland Landry; Melissa Weber; Monica Habetz; Nicole Hamilton; Larry Theriot, Jr.; Darci Latiolais; Cassie Gauthier; Emily Latiolais; Cleve Latiolais; Travis Latiolais; Tanya Hebert; Tennille Breaux; Casey Latiolais; Lacey Menard; Sheri Delahoussaye; Randy Boggs; and Jessie Landry and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Uncle Joel, Aunt Betty, and Aunt Elsie Latiolais.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Latiolais, Sr. and Lillie Mae Doucet Latiolais; a brother in law, Dieu Donne Borel and two nephews, Clay John Latiolais and Clayton James Latiolais.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Cleven Latiolais, Clifford Latiolais, Joseph Latiolais, Garland Latiolais, Larry Theriot and Leland Landry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Laura Theriot, Thelma Borel, Velma Landry, Howard Landry, Travis Latiolais and Lil-Cleve Latiolais.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care provided by Dr. Mwatibo; Dr. Gachassin and Dr. Briere. A heartfelt thank you goes to Hospice of Acadiana, especially Judith Crowder, RN for the great care that was provided for him during our time of need.
