It's hard to believe Mrs. Mc Mahon has been gone 2 years. She was a kind woman of great faith and a mom to us all. I know she has reunited in heaven with dear family. We'll always remember her.

I have very fond memories of Barbara. She was a sweet, kind lady who loved her family was very proud of her grandchildren and her dog children.  Barbara is now in the arms of Jesus. 
May she rest in heavenly peace.

I have lived next door to Barbara for 20 years.  She has been a constant in my world, as well as my 2 young sons', since the day I moved next door.  To say she will be missed is an understatement.  I keep looking for her when i leave and come home from work, looking to see her smile while she fed the birds and squirrels, walked the neighborhood, or just came over for a sunset glass of wine.  This past mother's day, she joined us and she shared her family memories with my mother - the two of them could rule the world! 
She once told me when another neighbor moved away that i can never move or leave her, but the truth is that it is i who needed her more. She will be remembered lovingly by me, my boys and my friends.  in my home of Hawaii, we say "A Hui Hou" - until we meet again . Rest in Aloha dear Barbara

I was so sorry to hear about Barbara’s death.  She was one of the first neighbors I met when my family moved to St Pete Beach.  Recently, we talked frequently when I was working in my yard and she was walking  by on her way to the store to buy her ice cream.  
The neighborhood has lost an icon and we will miss her.  

We are deeply saddened by the news of Aunt Barbara’s passing. She was kind, caring and had a loving graceful soul. Our families (McMahon's, Jergensen's, Borries) grew up living close to each other and when making the rounds from our Great Aunt & Uncle’s houses to Big Nana’s the McMahon's house was always a fun stop in-between. Aunt Barbra and Uncle Jimmy were always interested in how you were and what you were dong.  She will be missed.

It is immensely difficult to express what it feels like to say goodbye to my Mother In Law, Barbara. She was always caring for others and putting their needs first. Her faith, devotion and commitment to her beliefs and to her family and friends was unprecedented. She was my confidant, my mentor, my friend in so many ways. With her "subtle", yet "strong willed" way...she always brought to light reality. With that, she provided solid and sound loving guidance. Barbara was always thinking and doing for others...when you walked in to her home, there was an instant presence of love and caring, from "Hi! How are you?"  To "can I get you something to drink or eat?" She always made your favorite on your birthday...mine was roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans! ( And who could forget the endless Hors d'oeuvres platter!) We will all miss her on our own ways and remember her for the ways she touched our lifes. Barbara is at peace now in the loving arms of God, reunited in love and grace with Jim and David and her loved ones before her... awaiting her arrival...peace and infinite love at last.

We lay to rest Barbara Ann McMahon, born November 26, 1933 in New York City, New York. Barbara, a long-time resident of St. Pete Beach, Florida, passed on September 7, 2021 at the age of 87. 

Barbara led her life devoted to her family, her church, and to helping others. She worked dutifully at St. Anthony’s Hospital, and later in many capacities at St. John’s Catholic School and Church. She was a dedicated volunteer, helping regularly at Palms of Pasadena Hospital and St. Vincent De Paul. In all she did, Barbara was guided by her unwavering devotion to the Lord. 

Barbara will be joining her husband, Jim McMahon, and son David, who preceded her in death. She is leaving behind her daughter, Mary Bower, four grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends. 

A memorial mass will be held at St. John’s Church (445 82nd Ave. St. Pete Beach, Florida 33706) at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 followed by a burial service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (5233 118th Ave N Clearwater, Florida 33760) at 1:00 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, Barbara has requested that donations be made to St. John’s Catholic School and Church. 

I’m so very sorry to hear about your mother , my daughter went to school when your mom was still there, she was so good to me and all the kids . I’m  glad I got to know her  , what a great person ,sending prayers and thoughts. Barbara

I’m very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of going to their home for dinner and spending the night with Mary. I was always welcomed. Heaven gained a special angel. Always giving of herself unselfishly

Sweet Mrs. McMahon,  you will be dearly missed. I have such fond memories from spending time with my pals on St Pete Beach, and visiting you and your beloved doggies.

Heaven has gained a generous soul with a servant's heart. Caregiver to many, strong in her beliefs and devoted to St. John's Church for 50+ years. She loved ice cream and also always had a place in her heart for dogs from Steps, to Nugget, to Daisy and Snoopy, and Lacy and Pepe the Greyhounds. We will miss her warm smile and quiet strength. Our sympathy especially to her beloved Grandchildren.

I will miss her tremendously.  She was like a mother to me for nearly 50 years and I loved her dearly.  I enjoyed her bubbly and loving personality , her sense of humor and that great New York accent that was with her forever.  I will miss hearing her say "Oh hi, Mel" with a big smile I could hear in her voice when I called to check on her. I would send her goodies to enjoy and she would get on the phone with me while eating them and tell me how much she enjoyed them.  We would laugh at silly things and talk about life over the years from when a was a small child, teenager, young adult and into adulthood.  We shared good times and bad. My last words to her a few weeks ago were "I love you".
