Daniela Heliasz (nee Sznar) aged 88 passed away on August 17, 2024, in St. Pete Beach, Florida. She was born in 1935 in Włocławek, Poland, an only child to Alfons and Wladyslywa Sznar. Daniela and her family emigrated to the USA in 1951 and settled in Newark, NJ. She later moved to Irvington, NJ in 1969 and then relocated to St. Pete Beach, FL in 1985. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Frank Heliasz. Daniela and Frank were the owners of the Corey Landing Motel from 1985 – 1990.
Over her life, Daniela was a wife, mother, homemaker, keypunch operator and CNA. She was an avid reader, enjoyed history, Polish music and fashion.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana Gebhardt, son-in-law, Ken Gebhardt and granddaughter, Kelsey Gebhardt. Also, survived by her son Ted “Chris” Kleban and grandsons Christopher Juliano and Michael Juliano and their spouses. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Mark Kleban.
A memorial service and luncheon will take place on September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Avenue, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706.
