Glenn Louis Lovell

LOVELL, Glenn Louis 88, of St Petersburg died Feb 17, 2018. He was born in Ohio on May 26, 1929 to parents Louis and Lois (Thompson) Lovell. Glenn moved to St Petersburg in 1952 coming from Tampa. He was the owner of Lou's Florist on St Pete Beach for many years. The florist shop is now located on South Pasadena Ave. He was a Korean War veteran and served in the US Army. He is a member of American Legion Post 125 St Petersburg, and also frequented American Legion Post 305 on St Pete Beach. Glenn built his own sail plane and flew it every Sunday. He also loved ballroom dancing activities. He is predeceased by his wife Marion who died in 1991. Survivors include a son John Lovell (Kim); daughter Connie MacFarlane (John); 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Visitation hours will be held Thursday Feb 22nd from 2pm to 3:30 pm at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Ave St Pete Beach 360-5577. Services will begin at 3:30 pm at the funeral home.
