Harriet Jean Davis (nee Freeman), 102, of New Port Richey, formerly of Seminole, died peacefully on Monday, June 30th, 2025, at home. Born in Ridley Park, PA she was the oldest daughter of Henry B. and Harriet R. (Rodenbaugh) Freeman.
After graduating from Glen-Nor High School in Glenolden, PA, Class of 1940, Jean went to work at the Pennsylvania Railroad in Philadelphia. After marrying her high school sweetheart, LeRoy M. Snyder, they moved to St Petersburg Beach, FL, in 1952 where Roy died in July 1962.
Jean married Everett M. Davis in 1968 and moved to his hometown of Wilmington, DE until his retirement. They moved back to FL and lived in Tierra Verde until Everett’s death on September 18,1998.
Jean is survived by her children Robert M. Snyder (Fran) of St. Petersburg and Nancy J. Kinney (Bob) of New Port Richey, also 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3240 N. McMullen Booth Rd in Clearwater 33761, on Saturday July 19th at 10am with a reception to follow. Her interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 49th St N, St Petersburg 33709 following the reception, around 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gulfside Hospice (gulfside.org) or Holy Trinity Memorial Garden Renovation (holytrinityclw.org).
Beach Memorial Chapel in St Pete Beach will be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
