On May 6, 2022, our loving mother, Peg Kelley passed away peacefully at age 101 in her St. Pete Beach home. Peg was a mother of four, a grandmother of three, and recently a great-grandmother of one. However, many people called her “Grandma” and considered her their surrogate grandmother. Peg was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother.
Peg was born in New York City in 1920. She married George Kelley in 1941 and they were happily married for sixty-four years. She has been a resident of St. Pete Beach since 1963 and was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Peg is survived by her son, George Kelley, daughters, Kathy Racine, Susan Charles, and Nancy Kelley, and grandchildren, Kevin Kelley, Kim Lieffort, and Adam Friley and a great-grandson, Brooks Lieffort. She was predeceased by her husband, George.
A Celebration of Life mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to the SPCA of Tampa Bay.
