Susie was born September 26, 1944 in Okinawa, Japan. After marrying her husband of 58 years, Gary Littrell, she immigrated to the United States in 1965, and became the most patriotic American when she gained her citizenship in 1975.
She always joked that she raised 3 boys, and the oldest one Gary was a brat and an instigator. She loved her grandchildren more than life itself, and thought of her friends as family.
She may have been small in stature, but Susie had a huge heart. Her hobbies and interests included fishing, gardening, and caring for injured butterflies. She was often seen walking her beloved Maltese, Lady. She loved bingo, and played a fierce hand of cards.
Susie is survived by her husband Gary Littrell; sister, Masako Sakaguchi; her brother Shotoku Chibana; her 2 sons and their spouses, Jerry and Amy Littrell, Larry and Melissa Littrell; 4 grandchildren, Garrett, Emily, Andrew, and Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mitsue's life will be held Saturday June 25, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Beach Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a charitable donation be made in Susie’s name to Southeast Guide Dogs via their website:
