

Robert Anthony Marino, 70, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024 in Saint Petersburg, Florida after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Robert grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Thomas Joseph Marino, Sr. and Doris Ray Nelson Marino. He graduated from White Station High School where he was nominated “Most likely to succeed.” Robert then attended Memphis State University where he served as president of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He had a successful career in pharmaceutical sales with Glaxo Smith Kline but more than anything, he valued his siblings, children, grandchildren, and friends. Robert appreciated the classics and loved art and antiques as well as taking cruises to experience the world. He was very active in ministry in his Parish, Saint Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion as well as the Merry Makers, an events organization of the Parish. He was also a volunteer for Empath Health and the Empath Health Resale stores.
Robert is survived by his children Robert "Bobby" Anthony Marino, Jr. of Newport, Kentucky (Mckenna), Michael Brogan Marino of Oxford, Mississippi (Kaila), and Andrew Joseph Marino of Memphis; his sister, Nora Marino McGowan of Memphis, brother William Richard Marino of Memphis, and Grandchildren Brogan, Ivy, Wills and Zelda. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Thomas J. Marino, Jr. and Michael Steven Marino. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and loved ones.
