Ann (Ani) Marie Scott passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born and raised in Chicago, she eventually made her way to Houston, Texas, where she built a life full of friendship, hard work, and memorable moments. She worked in the restaurant industry, where her warmth, wit, and—if the stories are to be believed—her legendary cocktails left a lasting impression on many.
Ani was a devoted sports fan with a heart big enough for more than one team. The Cubs were her first love, but in Houston she happily made room for the Astros as well. She also enjoyed cheering on the Rockets and rarely missed a chance to celebrate a good game, a great play, or a well-earned victory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott, and her beloved German Shepherd, Tootsie, who held a very special place in her heart. Ani leaves behind dear friends Nichole and Roland Sikinger, along with their children and grandchildren Kelley, Jaime, Charlie and Luke Rohlmeier and Jake and Claire Sikinger.
She also leaves behind her stepchildren and step grandchildren (Heather Scott and JD White, Ryan and Jen Scott, Erin and Kyle Cones, Mackinnon, Rowan, Kastyn, Crew) as well as her brother Marc and sisters Maryjo and Jennifer.
Ani will be remembered for her spirited personality, her loyalty to the people she loved, and her ability to bring a little extra spark wherever she went. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
