He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 10, 1950 and later moved to Houston, Texas and raised a family. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and all things sports, cooking, and poker.
He is preceded in death by his father Henry John Vandervort, Sr., mother Alicia Garcia Vandervort, sister Isabel Maria Prindle, brother, Henry John Vandervort, Jr. and niece Nicole Prindle. He is survived by his son Anthony Vanders; grandson’s Michael and Harrison Vanders, granddaughter Madelyn Vanders, brother Robert Vandervort and his wife Val, brother Albert Vandervort, sister Alice Hess, cousins, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
There will be a Memorial Mass in celebration of his life on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78207.
