

From an early age, April demonstrated a natural grace, first through her dedication to ballet. She pursued this passion with discipline and enthusiasm, setting the tone for a life marked by perseverance and commitment.
April attended Willowridge High School and later graduated from Lawrence E. Elkins High School, where she was known for her charismatic personality and determination.
After high school, April's pursuit of knowledge led her to Sam Houston State University. After leaving Sam Houston State she dedicated several years to working with special education students, where her compassion and dedication to helping others shine brightly. She later then went on to complete her nursing studies, a field she embraced with compassion and care. She worked for the Harris County Sheriff's Department, where she made an impact through her professionalism and devotion to service.
Above all, April was a devoted mother. Her two daughters, Kennedy and Madison Ford, were the light of her life. She cherished every moment with them, showing love and affection that was boundless and unwavering. April taught her daughters to love God, respect others, walk with grace and their heads held high. She encouraged her daughters to excel in education, sports, and music, aiming to shape them into well rounded adults capable of navigating life’s challenges.
April Mahalie leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the lives of her two daughters.
She will be remembered for her love, kindness, strength, and nurturing essence. Her spirit will live on through all the hearts who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life for April Mahalie will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
