She attended Beaumont High School and Lamar University. She later moved to Houston and attended the Methodist Hospital School of Radiology.
Betty worked for the Fondren Orthopedic Group for nine years. After the birth of her son, she started working as a school register at Alief Independent School District and retired after 29 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Y. Clark. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert P. Clark of Houston, Texas; sister- in-laws, Grace and her husband Dr. Larry Gaines, Val and her husband Russell Powell all of Houston; three nephews and one niece and their families.
