Charles Edward Collins

He was born on October 23, 1948 in Sacramento, California to Whit Herman Collins and Ruth Miller Collins.

Charles was very proud of the fact that he was the star of his high school basketball team and also enjoyed playing on the ice hockey team in school. He enjoyed old western movies, fishing, painting and feeding the squirrels.

Charles married the love of his life, Helen Cordell Collins on September 9, 1972 and honored his vows of “til death do us part”.

He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Whit and Ruth Collins; his wife, Helen Collins and son, Eddie Collins. He is survived by his daughter, Christy Whitener; son, Tony Collins and wife Amy of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, Preston Lesperance, Raven Whitener, Destiny Whitener, Brittany Clark, Brandon Collins, Cory Bollinger, Tiffany Bollinger and Andrew Bollinger; and his great-grandchild, Draven Charles Lesperance.
