David Simon Calzoncit

David was born February 16, 1970, in San Antonio, TX, but was a lifelong resident of Houston, TX.

David was a beloved son, a great brother, a loving father and a wonderful husband. He was a friend to many and with his welcoming smile he never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed cars, hunting, motorcycles, cycling, cooking & eating, but his favorite past time was spending quality time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Simon David Calzoncit, his sisters Emma Guerra and Mary Lou Trevino and his brother Gilbert Valdez.

He is survived by his spouse Jennifer Calzoncit; four children David Alexander Rivas, Christopher Flores-Lopez, Jasmine Frechel and Simon David Calzoncit; his mother Lucia Calzoncit; siblings Joesph Valdez, Norma Jean Valdez, Andres Valdez, Jesse Valdez, Rudolfo V. Valdez, Cynthia L. Calzoncit and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477 on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479 with burial to follow at Morton Cemetery, 401 N. 2nd Street, Richmond, TX 77469.

Following the burial a reception will be held at Bonbrook Plantation Community Center, 9210 Reading Road, Richmond, TX 77469.
