Don E. Poorman

DON E. POORMAN, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Sugar Land, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1928, in Lima, Ohio, to Hoyt and Bernadine Spees Poorman. Don will be remembered for his love of fishing, baseball, and antique cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard and Robert Poorman. Don is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Janice Linsley Poorman; children, Susan Blackie and husband Gary, of Houston, Texas, Larry Poorman and wife Judy, of Santa Fe, Texas, Paula Conley and husband Rick, of Sugar Land, Texas, and Gary Ward, of Duncan, British Columbia; his brother, Paul Poorman and wife Dee, of Corpus Christi, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Mindy White, Buck Dodson, Tate Allen Poorman, Taunya Ann Poorman, James Henry, Britni Schnupp, Blake Schnupp, Rory Conley, Kerbi Conley, Iain Ward, Ellena Ward, and Nathanial Ward; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, on Friday, August 10, 2012, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg.
