Survived by wife Josephine, daughter Jennifer Anderson, son-in-law Scott Anderson, son David, daughter-in-law Aileen, sister Jeanette Bowie, brother-in-law Richard (Skip) Bowie, sister-in-law Antoinette Gerla, grandchildren Austin Anderson, Ashley Anderson and Conor Gerla, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by father Herman Gerla, mother Rosalia Gerla (nee Pauler) and brother Daniel Gerla.
Eugene worked for 33 years at WKM/Cooper Cameron and 10 years at Astrodome/Reliant Stadium. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Visitation: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2015, with a rosary at 7:00 pm, Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford. Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, Holy Family Catholic Church, Missouri City. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
