James Whitaker Evans

James Whitaker Evans, son, brother, friend, student, scout and loving child left this world the same way he came into it, with a twinkle in his eye and sweet smile on his face. James was born on April 26, 2002 and passed away Oct 13, 2012 after a terrible accident at just 10 years of age. James was a 5th grade student at Commonwealth Elementary in Sugar Land, Texas where he was known and loved for his smart wit, entertaining dance moves, love of life and people. James's commanding presence will be forever felt in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his parents Mark L. and Melissa S. Evans, his big sister Alexandra, his paternal grandparents, Lane and Judi Evans, his maternal grandparents, Lesal Waller Kilcrease and Scott Swearingen, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and lots of dear, dear friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17 from 5-8 pm at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home at 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, Texas 77477.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 18 at 10 am at Christ United Methodist Church at 3300 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, Texas 77479. A procession and graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas.
