

John was born on September 23, 1960. In his youth, he achieved the honor of raising the Grand Champion Hog in 1979, an accomplishment he remained proud of throughout his life. He went on to graduate from Rungee High School in 1980.
John proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force for four years. After completing his military service, he dedicated 20 years of compassionate work to the American Red Cross, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
A devoted son, John lovingly cared for his mother for more than 20 years, demonstrating remarkable selflessness and dedication to family.
John found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved gardening, listening to 1980s music, watching movies, and spending time hunting. He especially cherished helping his nieces with their school projects, always eager to offer guidance and encouragement.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Inocencio Mansanales and Anita F. Mansanales.He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Flores and her children: son Hilario Guerrero, and daughters Christina Guerrero, Beatriz Guerrero, and Krystle Guerrero. He is also survived by his brother Jesse Mansanales and wife Lisa Mansanales, along with ten beloved nieces and nephews.
John will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to family and service. His legacy of love and compassion will live on in all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Following the service all are invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of John during a reception in the event room at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
The interment will follow, via funeral procession to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
