Mary Ellen Wait

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Earthman Southwest Funeral Directors 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477. A rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. A celebration of life memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018, also at Earthman Southwest Funeral Directors 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, Texas. A reception will follow the memorial service.

Mary was born on November 3, 1956, to Boyd (Buddy) and Dorothy Knetsar. She married Charles Wait on August 15, 1981. Mary spent much of her life as a homemaker but also worked as a school library aide and a Disney World cast member. Mary was devoted to her family and friends. She found great pleasure in accompanying Charles in his many pursuits and hobbies and through the years they truly became the best of friends. Mary loved volunteering at Frost Elementary and Lunches of Love. She was the epitome of a good neighbor and because of her personality she met very few strangers. Many will miss her loving smile and open heart.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter Miranda; sister, Dianne Soehnlein; brothers, Ronald Knetsar and wife Leslie; and James Knetsar; 13 wonderful nieces and nephews and a host of friends around the world.
