Nancy Jean Roberts

Nancy was born on July 13, 1939 in Newton, Kansas. She was the daughter of Dale and Angeline "Ann" Shuler. On December 26, 1959 she married James "Jim" Roberts in Newton, Kansas. They shared 57 years together until his death in 2016.

Her career as an x-ray technician included working for a mobile x-ray company in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but her most notable job was being employed by Dr. Sites at his orthopedic practice in Springdale, Arkansas, where she remained a faithful employee until her retirement. Her greatest sense of accomplishment however, was found in being a wife, mother to her four children, and being a meticulous homemaker. Cooking and baking were a passion of hers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jim, and grandaughter Kelsey. Surviving her are her four chidren: Steve Roberts of Euless, Texas, Andrea Tripp (Stan) of Sugar Land, Texas, Lisa Palmer of Austin, Texas, and Kerri Shelley (Jeff) of Shawnee, Kansas. Five grandsons: Michael and Chris Moragne, of Sugar Land, Texas, Brenham Palmer, Austin, Texas, Benjamin Hall, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska and Noah Hall, Shawnee, Kansas. Also surviving her are her three sisters: Mary Ann Giffin and Joan Olson, both of Wichita, Kansas, and Norma Carlson of Dallas, Texas. There are also numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff at Inspired Living of Sugar Land,Texas as well as Fairmont Hospice for their loving and unwavering care of her in her final days. Recently, one of her quotes which she often recited to people who visited her was, "I just go with it!" Hopefully we can all contain this attitude!

The Family will be greeting friends and relatives for a visitation Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford TX, 77477. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 10, 2018, at St. Laurence Chapel of Divine Mercy, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land TX 77479. A formal burial of her remains will occur in Rogers, Arkansas at a date to be determined. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
