

Olivia Ortega Pina Eberle was born in Alice, Texas on January 14, 1926 to Emilio and Tiburcia Pina. She passed away on December 12, 2021. Olivia moved to Houston as a young woman to attend the Feathers and Feathers School of Art and Design. This education would secure her a job with Star Furniture in the commercial art department designing weekly ads to run in local newspapers and where years later she would meet her future husband, Marcel “Buck” Eberle. Her career at Star extended from the art department to accounting and lastly as a salesperson where her eye for design and style attributed to her success.
Olivia was a member of St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church where after retirement from Star she participated in bible study classes and became a member of the Best Years of Life (BYOL) group. She was also active with her friends at Braesridge Apartments where she participated in regular exercise and dance classes as well as weekly Bingo games.
Olivia is proceeded in death by her parents, Emilio and Tiburcia Pina; two sisters, Millie Manzano and Vera Pina; spouse of 25 years, Marcel Eberle; and brother-in-law, Edward Manzano, Jr. She is survived by her son, John Edward Eberle and spouse, Christine Eberle; granddaughter, Margaret Eberle and grandson, Patrick Eberle and spouse, Darah Eberle of Frisco; greatgrandchildren – Jacob Allen, Dylan Edward, Mason Marcel and Tatum Elise; niece Cindy Vessier of the Woodlands, Edward Manzano, III of Ft. Worth, and great nieces Helen Milner, Jacqueline Hill, Jennifer Hill, Megan and Madeline Deavenport and great nephews, Jason Booker and Mathew Deavenport.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 S. Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner Road in Houston.
A funeral mass will immediately follow the visitation, also at St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church.
The Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
