I remember Pat as a person who always had a smile. She was sweet and kind and I never heard her say a bad thing about any one. She was a very kind, sweet and loving person.

Aunt Patsy and Uncle Cliff were my godparents.  I was lucky to know them from the beginning!  Nobody could light up a room like Aunt Patsy could.  For my 50th birthday, she sent me a package with a note that read: "Within this wrapping is the image of a beautiful woman."  Inside was a mirror decorated with quillwork flowers.  What a wonderful person she was.

Happiness is having a family full of love. And you could see that in the Cawood family. Ms. Cawood's family will continue feeling her love until they are reunited one day. Love and hugs to Ms. Cawood's loved ones. She is within you every moment of every day.

I send condolences and prayers to all who were close with my Aunt Pat.  May our grief open our hearts to grace,  love, joy and deep peace.
 
Although for most of my life, Aunt Pat lived far away, I have found memories of family gatherings when we lived nearer to each other.  As I write this I can hear her laugh. It cheers me up and fills me with warmth.  She was always warm and welcoming, quick to laugh and quick to use her sharp wit.   Even when I was a child, she had a way of making me  feel that I was the only person in the room when she spoke to me. 

She navigated through tough times with poise, strength and resilience. She could turn lemons into lemonade.  She is an inspiration to me and to those whose lives were touched deeply by her.   Melanie Burns daughter of her sister Rita J.(nee O'Brien) Burns

My earliest memories of Aunt Patsy are from the happy occasions of Patsy and Cliff's visits from out of town.

The 1970s-80s may have been the time of Patsy's reign over department store makeup counters, because Patsy mailed extra goodies to my mom who in turn shared them with Patsy's nieces such as myself. I think it was the 1990s when one day my brother told me he'd been up late the night before. "I was up late talking with some Irish girls," he said. These Irish girls were our mom and our Aunt Patsy.

At some point Pat took the time to write memories of her childhood and she shared these with extended family. These memories are part of her legacy now. Thank you, Aunt Patsy, and may peace be with you.

Grandma was an amazing woman and I will hold close to my heart my memories of her always.  I was blessed to have her as my grandmother.  I learned so much from her and hope to continue her spirit of kindness, warmth, and joy of life throughout my days.

I have many memories of my sweet gramma-in-law.  I will always remember the way she laughed at her rambunctious great-grandkids as they ran around the house.  And, how she took your hands in hers as she was saying goodbye, seeming to soak in those final moments with you.  She will forever have a smile on her face in my mind.

I was blessed to meet Pat when I began working at Brookdale Sugar Land.  She had the sweetest spirit and warmest smile. Her neighbors loved her and misses her greatly today.  Pat, you will always be in our hearts!  Tell God I said hello.  Juanita Hood (Houston, TX)

I can't stop thinking about Aunt Patsy's warm and vivacious spirit!

Pat was always a dear sister.  We have only the fondest memories of her and her gentle ways.  We know she is in the arms of the Lord.  In time we will be with her there forever - and with Rita, Nomie, Tom and Mom & Dad.

I smile inside whenever I think of Pat.  From the first evening I met her while dating Mick, she was ALWAYS warm and accepting of me.  And through the years, whenever she and Cliff visited or we visited them, she always had gifts to bring and share.  I loved it when she worked with the cosmetic lines because she would bring sweet smelling goodies or makeup that I never would buy for myself!  Her smile and cute little laugh were contagious. My Aunt Patsy is dear to my heart. Whatever came along, she endured with prayer and laughter and hope. I will always remember her kindness to me and her joyful spirit.

The sweetest woman that ever lived. My dearest Grandmother, I will miss you always and think of you often. I will cherish the memories we made together and try my hardest to make you proud. May you rest in everlasting peace. ❤
