Patricia "Patsy" Muñoz

Born on March 26, 1955, in Pecos, Texas, Patsy was a proud graduate of the Class of 1974 at Harlingen High School in Harlingen, Texas. She went on to further her education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she earned her Associate's degree in 1981.

Patsy began her professional journey with Southwestern Bell in Harlingen, where she cultivated a successful 36-year career marked by her commitment and integrity. She concluded her service in 2012 in Houston, following the company’s transition to AT&T.

As a devoted mother and grandmother, Patsy found great joy in the presence of her grandson. A woman of many passions, Patsy loved gardening, crafting, traveling, and thrifting. She was happiest in the company of family and friends and drew comfort and fortitude from her fellowship at Wilcrest Baptist Church. Those who knew her were encouraged by her kind heart, quiet strength, unwavering independence, and deep faith. She was a woman resilient in the face of life’s challenges, staying ever close to God.

Patsy is survived by her son, Adrian Garcia Muñoz, her brother, Victor Garcia, and her cherished grandson, Atticus Garcia. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Guevara and Mr. and Mrs. Noberto Garcia, her parents, Jesus and Carolina Garcia, and her sister, Sandra Martinez. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to Krisy Patton and to Patsy’s lifelong friend, Minnie Gonzales, for their dedicated care and support during her last moments.

Though we mourn her absence, we celebrate her life well-lived. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave and the lives she touched. Patsy will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
