

Robert Chambers transitioned from earth to heaven late Sunday night February 26, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife, his two sons and his godson, Craig all by his side. Robert O. Chambers was born in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1936. He was the oldest of four children, two boys and two girls to the late Ameretta and Robert J. Chambers.
He was enrolled in the academic curriculum while at Duquesne High School. He played the piano for a group that was formed from the high school glee club. Robert graduated from Duquesne High School in 1954. He accepted Christ at an early age and began playing the piano at age 3. His musical career started at the age of 13. Lorraine Middlebrooks was also a member of the junior choir at Macedonia. They started dating when Lorraine was a senior at Duquesne High School. Robert was drafted into the United States Army in 1959 and while in the service, he married Lorraine Chambers in 1961. After the service, Robert joined Lorraine in Brooklyn, New York and that became their home. They had two sons, Robert Gregory and Mark (now Marq Q).
Robert Chambers took advantage of the GI bill and earned an associate degree in accounting from Brooklyn College. Beyond his career in accounting, he also had a distinguished career in music over, 73 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two of his siblings, Mary Elizabeth and Dorothy Lee. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife of 61 years, Lorraine, his sons, Robert Gregory and his wife Jeri of Austin, Texas, Marq Q and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Studio City, California, his youngest sibling, Reverend Samuel Wade and his wife Erma of Mckeesport, Pennsylvania and his godson, Craig Matthew. Joining them in cherished thought are his granddaughters, Jocelyn Chambers, Joy C. Chambers and, his nieces and his nephews, Paul Waite, Wanda Waite Dawson, Dwayne Waite, Tiffany Waite Crosby, Martell Waite, Edgar Wright, Denita Wright, Lowell Wright, Samuel R. Chambers, Shanee Chambers and Sonya Gooden, as well as a host of grand nieces and nephews
