

Rose Marie Valco, age 86, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, in Missouri City, Texas. She was born on August 12, 1926, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Philip and Lucille Honey Duff. Rose Marie was the executive secretary to the President of the Chicago Daily News in Chicago, Illinios, for many years. More recently, she worked as a United States Census Taker. Rose Marie was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, in Missouri City, where she served in the Compassion Ministry and served Communion to the homebound. Her favorite pastimes included Bible Study, politics, crossword puzzles, scrabble, and reading. Rose Marie also enjoyed social networking with her friends and family on her iPad. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Henry “Hank” Valco. Rose Marie is survived by her daughters, Mary Diggins and Laura Bellington and her husband Roland; sons, John Valco and his wife Debbie and Mark Valco; and her six grandchildren, Michael Koerner, Paul Koerner, Angela McDaniel, Walker Valco, Katie Valco Manzo, and Anthony Bellington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 5th St., Missouri City. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston.
