

Sally Ann Soutar, 88, passed away peacefully in Sugar Land, Texas on June 30, 2013. Sally was born in San Francisco, California on February 19, 1925 to Edward and Betty Klonower. She was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and married Norman Ewing Soutar in 1946, moved to Houston, Texas in 1946 and ultimately moved to Sugar Land in 1969.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Edward Klonower, a sister Rhoda Klonower Albaral and husband Norman Soutar. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Reitz and husband David of Missouri City, Texas, son Alan Soutar and wife Dana of Missouri City, and son Michael Soutar and wife Mary of Norwalk, Connecticut. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, April Machock and husband Frank of Sugar Land, Amanda Gosline and husband Brian of Sugar Land, Mandy Vogt and husband Justin of Missouri City, Jessica Palermo and husband Marcus of Missouri City, Kyle Barley and Bryn Barley of Albuquerque, New Mexico and 6 great grand-children, Taylor and Ryanne Machock, Chandler and McKenna Vogt, Luke Palermo, and Aiden Gosline, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Sally shared a love for deep sea fishing and hunting with her husband and sitting on the beach with family and friends. She also had a genuine gift for painting and a love for sewing, ceramics and stained-glass work. Her love for Surfside, Texas prompted her along with her close friends to start the Save our Beach Association in Surfside. She also was the stable partner and companion to Norman as he founded Tool Mart, Inc. in Houston, Texas, Austin Tool in Austin, Texas and Tool Mart in San Antonio, Texas. She was a principle owner till the end of her life.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 19, 2013 at 4pm. Service will be held at St. Catherine of Sienna, 4747 Sienna Parkway, Missouri City Texas 77459
