Santiago Acuña, age 93, died on Monday, October 13, 2014. He was born April 9, 1921 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Son of Benito Acuña and Carolina Canclini.He was a marine in the Argentinean Navy, but retired to serve as a pastor in several churches in the cities of Punta Alta, Mendoza, Cordoba, Chaco and Corrientes, Argentina. He moved to the United States in 1991 and served at Iglesia of Deer Park, TX.
Santiago was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Ruth Viviana D’Amico; his son David Acuña and his daughter Cristina Armendariz.
He is survived by his son Daniel Acuña and daughter-in-law Ana Maria, twelve grandchildren: Febe, Pablo, Diego, Debora, Gary, Dan, Kathy, Karen, Carolina, Daniel, Guillermo and Julieta; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating his life, will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 11am at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477.
