Sharon Riggleman Schackai, age 65, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Meadows Place, Texas. She was born on January 7, 1947, in New Orleans, LA, to Eugene and Marie Fisher Riggleman. Sharon graduated from Riverdale High School in Metairie, Louisiana in 1966. Originally from Metairie, Louisiana, Sharon lived most of her life in Meadows Place, Texas. Sharon worked for Fort Bend ISD as a District Aide. She truly loved working with all of her friends at FBISD – Travis HS especially Mrs. Kyle, Dorothy, Nancy, Susan, Mary, and Jeanette, and also the ladies at the Admin. Bldg., Eva, Mae, Maria, and Donna. She loved spending time with her husband whom she considered her knight in shining armor. After 46 years of marriage it was obviously true and everlasting love. Being the wife of a Stafford Volunteer FD Member for 22 years and the mother-in-law of a MPPD Captain for 18 years, she became an avid advocate in the community. Her pride and joy were her grandkids that she loved spoiling and spending time with. Sharon loved cooking - especially Cajun cuisine! She had mastered the culinary art with never having taken a class and shared that pleasure and experience with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene M. Riggleman and Marie Fisher Riggleman. Sharon is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Schackai, Sr; son, Kenneth J. Schackai, Jr., and wife Kathy; daughter, Laurie Stewart and husband Gary; grandchildren, Cody, Cory and Courtney Stewart and Ashlye Schackai; brother, Eugene M.
