She graduated from St. James High School and Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA.
Yvonne worked for Microfab, Inc. for 20 years and the Essex County Gas Company for 10 years, both in Amesbury Massachusetts where she and Donald raised their family for 38 years, before retiring to Boothbay Harbor Maine. They resided in Boothbay Harbor for six years before ‘re’-retiring to North Fort Myers Florida where they lived for three years. Upon the loss of her husband in 2007, Yvonne moved to Texas with her daughter. She fit in quite well in Texas. She was very involved with various church ministries at St. Thomas Aquinas that included Adoration, STARS, The Bereavement Group and the Ladies Retreats. She also volunteered at the church office whenever needed.
Yvonne leaves a part of her with her three children:
Anthony J. DeSimone of Kingston, New Hampshire, Maryann Hogan and her husband Glynn, of Meadows Place, Texas and June M. Vinton and husband Mark, from Amesbury, Massachusetts, and son-in-law John Meyer from Seabrook, New Hampshire.
She adored her five grandchildren, Thomas W. Hogan (deceased), Glynn M. Hogan and Christopher J. Hogan from Houston, Texas, and Julie M. Meyer from Seabrook, New Hampshire and Jennifer M. Meyer from New York City, New York.
She leaves an older brother, Joseph Gauron, from Bradford, Massachusetts. She had two sisters, Mary Goodwin and Beatrice Fletcher from Haverhill, Massachusetts and two brothers, Richard Gauron from Haverhill, Massachusetts and Jerome Gauron from Amesbury, Massachusetts, who preceded her in death.
Yvonne also leaves her brother-in-law, John DeSimone and (wife) sister-in-law Sheila, from Seabrook, New Hampshire and Louise Gauron, (wife of Jerome Gauron) sister-in-law from Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Yvonne also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as dear friends, Nancy, Myrna, Catherine, Genevieve and Donna.
Although she is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord!
