Mr. Tony, I can't believe it's been a year already. I miss your humor and your compassion. The world is a worse place without you in it.

Tony, I met you when I came into the family at 18 years old! I loved to hear all your jokes and man you had allot!! You would read to the kids and take them to the park play with them all the tine even if they got on your nerves!!! We all been though allot together and I thank you for taking my son under your wing! I love you and may you be pain free and breathe easy! Love Susan 

Well Tony, I had just been searching for you again. I didn't expect to find you here. I met you in my teens as you were a good friend of my brothers.  You were always a gentleman and my mom thought so much of you too. I sure hope you are at peace now and my deepest sympathies to your friends. I don't remember if you had any family left.  But to them as well. I always loved your accent and your upbeat personality.  I will always remember you. Please say hey to little Mark, Chuck,   Eddie, Liz and of course our Jitter bug. Rest in peace. 🕊

I met Tony at GW high school. I was in the class of '70 he was in class of '69.  Hanging out at Tavern Square back in '68 is when I really started to get to know him well.  A pleasant guy to be around and he had a sense of humor that kept us all laughing and smiling for years to come.  Cooper, thanks for the memories.  RIP my friend.

Tony was a classmate of mine, finishing out senior year at George Washington HS in Alexandria. Intelligent, sarcastic and intense. I’ll remember him with fondness. RIP. 

I'm a regular customer at that Wawa, so even though I can't say I knew him, I will miss seeing him there when I come in. He was always nice, and spoke to everyone. "Stay safe out there." 

We lived in the same neighborhood and were classmates at GWHS, Alexandria class of 69.   I always enjoyed his company.   He had such a kind and gentle soul.   I’m sad to learn of his passing.   Much love to his family and friends 🙏

He was always on time and had simile on his face and ready to work. I’m going to miss his story and I will truly miss him at register 12.

Tony was a kind and generous spirit. He was always a spot of sunshine when you walked into Wawa. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Tony.

I always loved going into work and talking to Tony. He was a great man, he made every single customer and associates happy. Always had jokes and laughter, always looked on the bright side of things. I'll miss working with him and will never forget the positivity Tony brought to our community. R.I.P Anthony Cooper. You'll be missed dearly!

My prayers for Tony that he is at peace.  I was tremendously saddened to learn of his passing. He was a great guy and truly lifted my spirits and made me smile in the morning when I stopped at Wawa for coffee.   I know he did so for many people.  He will be missed. My prayers to the family.

You have brought so many smiles, love and laughter to every customer that has walked through those WaWa doors. Tony will be truly missed. When I left Stafford 7 years ago to take military orders back to NC you gave your best wishes and when I received orders to come back to Quantico, I was so happy to see you again at the counter. And it was always such a treat to make a quick visit for my coffee while on I-95N for trips to NY. I always felt at home when I stopped by. Thank you for all the years we had the pleasure of knowing you! May you Rest In Peace dear friend. 

I was an underclassman at GW, but grew to have a great friendship with this man. Fond memories of watching Star Trek with Tony and my brother Mike over at Tony's, back in the day. What a fun man to be blessed to know. Till we meet again my friend RIP.

As a frequent Wawa customer I’d always (and sometimes only) go to Tony’s register no matter how long the line was bc he was always happy to see me. He’d greet me with the warmest salutations and we’d sit and chit chat for a bit. Always so courteous and kind. Tony you will be deeply missed. 

Tony was a classmate, GWHS class of 1969. So very sorry to learn of his passing. I remember him as a really nice guy during our high school years.  Offering condolences to his family.

So very sad to hear of Tony’s passing.   I knew Tony from years ago I went to high school with him in Alexandria he was a year ahead of me at GWHS. Class of 1969.  I’m sharing Tony’s graduation photo.  Many years later  I ran into him at Wawa.  We moved down to Stafford 19 years ago before the Wawa was built.  I think Tony started working at Wawa soon after.  I use to see Tony every time I went to Wawa the last time just a few weeks ago.  During the Christmas holidays sometimes I made a gift bag of the goodies I baked and would give him.  Tony was a very nice and gentle man and will be missed.

I knew Tony from GW. I was class of ‘68 and I think he was class of ‘69.  We used to have some interesting conversations with a mutual friend. He was always kind and a great guy. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I can’t say that I ever really knew him but when I went to wawa he was always there always with a smile and always made conversation.  Seemed like a nice man. Wish I would have taken the time to talk to him more often

As a frequent customer I always went for Tony's  register. Efficient, polite, and always a smile and some banter. Was so shocked to hear of his passing. RIP
