She is survived her daughter, Suzanne Kellam; her son, Bruce Marchal; and her grandsons, Ryan Kellam and Nicholas Sanchez, who referred to her as “Ganny”.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Lee Castle and her father, Gerald Montgomery Castle.
She loved sports. Her favorite teams were the Nationals, the Redskins, and the Capitals. She was a huge Nascar fan, and her driver was Tony Stewart. She was, however, partial to the Phillies Mascot “The Phanatic” and received a stuffed one for Christmas, which she adored.
Charlotte enjoyed shopping and browsing and was a wiz at Door Dash, Instacart and Amazon. She also enjoyed game shows. Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune were part of the family night routine, but the Game Show Channel was a fast favorite. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, often asking Nicholas for the answers.
Charlotte was an avid reader, oftentimes from her favorite chair in the sunroom. Her reading almost always led to a short nap. She also enjoyed listening to her stereo and her music often filled the house during the early afternoon hours.
Charlotte loved chocolate covered cherries and anything that Ryan cooked on the grill. She would slip “Roxy” the family dog leftovers.
Of all the things Charlotte loved and enjoyed nothing compared to her family. She will be truly missed.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in memory of Charlotte's parents, Gerald and Anna Castle.
