Curt was born in Hawaii as the youngest child in a Marine Corps family. As most military families do, Curt spent his early years moving with his family around the country until finally settling down in Woodbridge, VA. At the age of 16, he would meet the love of his life and future wife Tracy. After graduating from Woodbridge High School (Class of 1978), he served 5 years aboard the USS Josephus Daniels as a Machinist Mate in the United States Navy. Upon completion of his enlistment, Curt and Tracy found their home in Stafford, VA where they raised their three children, Kyle, Kelli, and Kevin. Curt then started his career at VSC Fire & Safety, becoming a well-known and well-loved presence in the company.
Curt was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed a cold morning hunting in the woods and a breezy day out fishing on the water (where he earned his Captain Wahoo moniker). He was a family man first and foremost, willing to lend a helping hand and the shirt off his back to any who asked. He was the life of the party no matter the occasion and you were sure to find a good time if you found him.
Curt is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Tracy, his two sons, Kyle and Kevin, granddaughter Madelyn and his siblings, Karen, Carl M, and Kathy, as well as a countless number of friends and family that loved him as their own. Curt is preceded in death by his parents, Carl H and Janet Dubac and daughter Kelli Robertson.
