Darlene Dent Marsh

She is survived by her husband David; daughter, Rebecca Faust and her husband Mike of Hartwood; sister, Charlene Knicely and her husband Jim of Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Marcie Marsh of Greenbackville, VA; grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Faust; niece, Dawn Knicely and nephews, Billy and Chad Marsh.

Darlene graduated from Roosevelt Wilson H.S. in Clarksburg, W.VA, receiving her B.A. from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, W.VA, and a Masters in Education and Administration from George Mason University.

She belonged to Phi Delta Kappa Professional Association, VSTA Professional Organization and was a life long member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Darlene was a long time educator in West Virginia, Louisiana, and Virginia, with the bulk of her professional life being in Virginia, namely Prince William County and for the past 18 years in Stafford County with the final 10 years as an Assistant Principal at Garrisonville Elementary School.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
