David "Dave" Austin Manges

David Austin Manges, age 63, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at his home in Fredericksburg, VA. He was born on October 4, 1960, in Cumberland, MD to the late Daryl Austin Manges and Shirley Louise (Stitcher) Manges Barnabei. Dave was a U.S. Navy Veteran, who served on the USS King (DDG-41) and traveled to various ports while in the military. He was outgoing and talkative. Dave took immense pride in maintaining his cars, motorcycles and fish tank. He enjoyed watching old westerns and professional sports teams from Baltimore. Dave adored all animals. As a Master plumber at Bion, Inc., his satisfaction came from a job well done. Survivors include his father: Fredrick Barnabei; children: Andrea Beard (Paul) and Kyle Manges; grandchildren: Adriana Beard, Lydia Klein and Leelend Beard; one sister: Cheryl Wisner (Rob); one niece: Rachel Grigsby (Cameron) and one nephew: Nicholas Wisner. The family will receive friends at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 PM. Dave’s cousin Gary Mangus will be officiating. An inurnment will be held at Rocky Gap Veteran Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Road, NE, Flintstone, MD 21530 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
