Listening to Uncle Ed, Uncle Bob and Uncle Ron tell stories on Grandma Ripper’s pitch then listening to Uncle Ed play the accordion!

My favorite memory of my Grandpa “Pap,” was when he taught me how to play “The Marine Corps. Hymn” on the piano (which he treated like the accordion.) He was so patient with me, as I must have played that song a thousand times trying to get every note and rhythm correct. I later went on to learn and memorize the lyrics to all three versus of the song, I have never done that for any other piece of music. This memory along with countless others... trips to ocean city, trips across the street to the playground, cooking polish food, Christmas, Easter (the countless bunny cakes,) Halloween or any holiday celebration where he opened up his home to the family are among many memories that I will treasure always! My grandpa shaped more memories and has made an everlasting impression on myself and countless others. Thank you for being the best pap-pap any of us could ask for. Until we meet again. ❤️

I miss you Dad. You were always there for me, always supported me and always looked after our family and I will never ever forget that! You gave us so many beautiful memories and I will cherish them for the rest of my life. My heart broke when you went to Heaven but I am happy you are no longer in pain. You continued to laugh and joke when most couldn’t, you were always strong, inside and out. You were our rock!  I know you will continue to watch over our family and when that time comes to see you again, oh what a joyful reunion it will be! Thank you for the WONDERFUL life you gave us.  I love you.

Many years ago, our rather large family was on vacation at the beach in North Carolina. Because of the number of us, we had rented several condos in different buildings and on different floors. After a day at the beach. The wives and children were ready to relax and turn in for the night. Not the men. They formed a line and traveled up and down the stairs trying  to find a place to play cards. I think Uncle Ed was in the lead and at each door they knocked on, they were told politely, or maybe not, to go away! Not even sure where they ended up but we all had a good laugh for many years after that! The picnics, the fires outside, the accordions, so many good memories. 
Tell everyone we miss them and love them.

I remember watching my uncle Ed walk down the hill from our house in Creslo when he had come home for a visit from the Marines. I am not sure what the occasion was, i was maybe 10 or11 years old, but my dad and i were watching him in  his marine dress, shoulders back, proud and handsome. My dad looked at me and said. Johny, see that, that's a Marine.
